The University of St Andrews will celebrate its 600th Anniversary from 2011 to 2013 with a range of celebratory events, activities and an ambitious fundraising programme. This is an exciting and challenging time for the University and Compton Fundraising. You will play a key role in these activities as part of the Development team.
In order to strengthen our fundraising team we are seeking a well-organised and highly motivated individual to support the Director of the 600th Anniversary Campaign and Project Mangers. Attention to detail and creative flair are important in this role as are excellent communication skills. You will enjoy working in a team and be inspired by your interaction with a range of people. An understanding of charitable giving would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be given.
This post will be based in the Development Office at the University of St Andrews but you will be an employee of Compton Fundraising Consultants Ltd.
This is a fixed term post until 31 December 2013.

Director of University Fundraising
Salary - £34,260 - £42,136 pa (in exceptional circumstances, and subject to review every 3 years, payment of an annual market supplement of up to £48,846 may apply)

In order to strengthen our fundraising team we are seeking a Director of University Fundraising to develop a strategic major gift fundraising plan for key University projects. To ensure success in this important role we are looking for a dynamic fundraiser with the drive, determination and ability to deliver significant gifts from individuals and the corporate sector. You will be educated to degree standard and will have at least five years’ experience in securing major gifts, preferably to benefit higher education. You will possess excellent communication skills, be well organised, and inspired by your interaction with people.
